One Framework. Multiple Pathways.
IMCE translates Metacognitive Education into practical resources, workshops, tools, and delivery pathways. At the centre is Psynapp, the educational framework from which our training, materials, and digital systems are developed.
One Core Model
The pressures shaping human development do not exist in isolation. Attention influences thinking, identity develops through relationship and culture, and personal agency is shaped by the wider conditions in which experience unfolds. Effective responses therefore need to recognise the whole system rather than treating each pressure separately.
Psynapp provides IMCE with an integrated framework for doing this. Its principles provide a common foundation across our resources, training and digital support systems, allowing very different forms of delivery to remain connected to the same underlying purpose: strengthening awareness, agency and the capacity to remain self-directing.
Multiple Pathways
At its heart, Metacognitive Education is best developed through human relationship: in classrooms, workshops, families, communities and direct conversation. These remain central to IMCE’s work.
At the same time, increasingly personal digital systems are becoming part of the environments in which people learn, think and seek support. IMCE therefore works across both sides of this changing relationship: developing human capacities through Psynapp and education, while working with Stormport to explore how the technologies themselves can be designed around privacy, psychological safety and human development.
